AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A CROSS ACCESS

EASEMENT, LOCATED BETWEEN TRACT F AND TRACT G, TRAILS GARDEN
OFFICE ADDITION IN SECTION 28, BLOCK AK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS,

WHICH IS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS
ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS

OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A

SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the easement as hereinafter described in the
body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for easement purposes and for public use; and it
would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for easement purposes
and for public use; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the easement as hereinafter described shall BE and the same is
hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purposes and for public use, such
easement being more particularly described in attached Exhibit "A."
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the
official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the
number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word
of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this
Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative
method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.

Metes and Bounds Description on a 0.1033 Acre (4,500 sq. ft.) easement out of Tracts "F" and
"G", Trails Garden Office, an Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, as
recorded in County Clerk File Number 2015026617, Official Public Records of Lubbock County,
Texas, and out of Section 28, Block AK, Lubbock County, Texas, and being more particularly
described as follows;
Beginning at a point for the Northwest and beginning corner of this easement, whence the most
Westerly Northwest corner of Tract " B", said Trails Garden Office, an Addition bears
N88016'02"W, a distance of 50.00 feet and N01043158"E, a distance of 193.60 feet;
Thence S88°16'02"E, a distance of 150.00 feet to a point for the Northeast corner of this
easement;
Thence SO1°43'58"W, a distance of 30.00 feet to a point for the Southeast corner of this
easement;
Thence N88°16'02"W, a distance of 150.00 feet to a point for the Southwest corner of this
easement;
Thence NO °43'58"E, a distance of 30.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 0.1033 Acres (4,500 sq. ft.) more or less
Bearings are based on the Texas Coordinate System of 1983, North Central Zone.
