AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF A N
STORMWATER DRAINAGE EASEMENT AND AN IMPOUNDMENT EASEMENT LIM

LOCATED IN SECTION 43, BLOCK AK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH IS o
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE;
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE
CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. ,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the easements hereinafter described in the
body of this Ordinance are no longer needed for easement purposes and for public use;
and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for easement
purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: —
SECTION 1. THAT the easements hereinafter described shall BE and the same
are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purposes and for public use, such
easements being more particularly described in Exhibit "A."
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark
the official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing,
showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby
authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as
an alternative method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.

Metes and Bounds Description on a 0.0232 Acre (1,011 sq. ft.) easement out of Section 43, Block
AK, Lubbock County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows;
Beginning at a point for the Northeast and beginning corner of this easement, whence the
Northwest corner of Section 43, Block AK bears NO1°47'42"E, a distance of 786.00 feet and
N88°12'08"W, a distance of 2482.79 feet;
Thence SO1 °47'42"W, a distance of 16.00 feet to a point for the most Easterly Southeast corner
of this easement;
Thence S46°47'52"W, a distance of 14.14 feet to a point for the most Southerly Southeast corner
of this easement;
Thence N88°12'08"W, a distance of 28.47 feet to a point for the Southwest corner of this
easement;
Thence Northwesterly, along an arc of a curve to the left, an arc distance of 27.34 feet to a point
for the end of said curve to the left and for the Northwest corner of this easement; said curve
having a radius of 50.00 feet, a central angle of 31°19'56" and a chord that bears N13°52'06"W,
a chord distance of 27.00 feet;
Thence S88°12'08"E, a distance of 45.76 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 0.0232 Acres (1,011 sq. ft.) more or less
