Downtown Grant Program Presented to MLI Board September 27, 2017 Project 1005 Broadway Nicky Boatright, local defense attorney with fifteen years of focused experience, is renovating the facade and parking lot of her property at 1005 Broadway, located within the Downtown TIF. The scope of work will include brick and mortar repair, painting and repairing the front facade and restriping the parking lot and replacing damaged curb stops totaling $5,005 in expenses. The Downtown Grant Committee was presented the project details on September 20, 2017 to consider a Downtown Facade Grant for Nicky Boatright, PC totaling $2,503 at 1005 Broadway and approved the grant on September 20, 2017. BEFORE: �n RE 17-52 RESOLUTION APPROVING NICKY BOATRIGHT — BOATRIGHT LAW OFFICE 1005 BROADWAY THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF LUBBOCK At a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of MARKET LUBBOCK ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, INC., a Texas nonprofit corporation (MLI), on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, held in conformity with the bylaws, after due notice as therein provided, a quorum being present and acting, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: WHEREAS, MLI presented to members of the Board the proposal of a possible Economic Development Grant and Contract to Nicky Boatright, owner of Boatright Law Office at 1005 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas. The terms and conditions of such Economic Development Grant and Contract, other than the normal terms and conditions applicable to all such Economic Development Grant and Contracts by the Corporation, are described generally as follows, to wit: Grant Nicky Boatright, owner of Boatright Law Office, located at I005 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas $2,503 towards the cost of brick and mortar repair, painting and repairing the front facade, restriping the parking lot and replacing damaged curb stops (facade), which totals $5,005 in expenses to their facility. WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of MLI finds that an Economic Development Grant and Contract offering the incentive for providing assistance to repair the damage to their facility meet and comply with the qualifications and purposes of the Corporation for the granting of such Economic Development Grants and Contracts. Upon Motion by Director, Mr. Barry Orr, and Seconded by director, Ms. Kristin Murray, it was approved, IT WAS RESOLVED that MLI offer and, if accepted by Recipient, enter into an Economic Grant and Contract with Nicky Boatright, owner of Boatright Law Office, located at I005 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas. This Economic Development Grant and Contact will be on the normal terms and conditions of such Downtown Grant Program and Contract offered by MLI to existing businesses and business prospects and authorize the CEO to enter into and negotiate Performance Agreement.
