The City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas met at 1:00 p.1,
the City Hall in rezular session, the following members thereof be -in
1139 present, to wit:
Mayor Pink L. Parrish'Commissioners A. V. Jeaver, d. 3. -osey,
J. 0. Jones and J. H. Hankins, City Attorney Z. L. ylett and City
Secretary G. 'l. I.;eCleary.
Minutes of Rezular Meeting of October 27, 1927, and of Called 1!eetiuy
October 31, 1927, were read and upon motion made by L'x. '?osey, se_ R
conded by l;,r. :leaver, they were unanimously approved.

Posey, they were unanimously approved and ordered signed by the Layor
and City Secretary.
Upon motion made by Lir. Jones, seconded by Mr. Posey. carried urbn_
imously, the following Resolution was adopted:

WHER A3 it has pleased Almighty God to take from our midst our
City Manager, Mr. .l. H. Perkinson, who died in the City of Lubbock
on November 5, 1927, and,

Of the City feels a deep personal loss in the death of ILr. Perkin -
son, who had been associated with us and faithfully served the City
for the past eighteen months, and,
.YH3 RI�A3, the City of Lubbock in the death of Llr. Perkinson has
lost a valuable City Manager, whose chair will be hard to fill, who
pave the best that was in him in his service rendered the City,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission in regular ses:;ion, this
November 10, 1927, that we extend to his bereaved wife, children and
relative our sincere sympathy in their sorrow.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED and ordered that a copy of these resolu-
tions be placed on the Minutes of this Commission, a copy furnished
his wife, and that a copy be published in the avalanche -Journal.

Purchase Upon motion made by Lr, leaver, seconded by hr. Hankins, carried unan-
