Resolution permitting J.R. Teaver lease to be transferred to vYilliam 3:Icll,haney. Ordinance No. 367 prohibiti 'dogs run- +ning at large. AYE: Posey Parrish, Mayor Hankins NO: None. Carried: Ordinance placed on third reading. Commissioner Posey moved that the ordinance pass third and final reading and be finally adopted; seconded by Commissioner Hankins and carried by the following vote: AYE: Posey Parrish,Idayor. Hankins NO: None. Carried: Ordinance passed third and final reading. The Mayor then declared the Ordinance finally passed, same being Ordinance iio. 366 and made of record in Ordinance Book 1, page 270, et seq. Mr. J.W. Halsey appeared before the Commission and stated that by agree- ment between him and the other members of the firm he was to pay 1/3 of the 1926 City Taxes against Halsey -Hall Drug Co., and requested that he be permitted to pay the 1/3 of said taxes. Upon motion of Mr. Posey, seconded by Mr. Hankins, the Tax Collector was instructed not to receive partial payment on said taxes. Motion made by Mr.Hankin$,seconded by Mr. Po.sey.,carried unanimously, that the following resolution was adopted: " RESOLUTION It is ordered by the City Commission of the City of Lubbock in regular session that J.R. Teaver be, and he is hereby permitted and authorized to transfer his rights and interests in the lease contract made and entered into between him and the City of Lubbock, dated Dec- ember 10th, 1925, to Nm. McIlhaney, upon the condition that the said 4m. McIlhaney shall enter into a new bond, made payable to the City of Lubbock, in the principal sum of FIVE HUNDRED and No/lQ0 ($500.00) DOLLARS, obligating the said 4m. MCllhaney to carry out all the terms and agreements of said contract required by it of the said J.R. Teaver, and said J.R. Teaver's bond, executed by him to the City of Lubbock to guarantee the performance of said contract on his fart, shall remain in full force and effect. ' There was offered for consideration and passage ordinance entitled: "AN ORD EL1110E PROHIBITING DOGS RUNNING AT LARGE AND PROVIDING PENALTY OF DEATH THEREFOR: AND DECL,'RING AN EMERGENCY". Commissioner Posey moved that the ordinance be placed on its first read-' ing; seconded by Commissioner Hankins and carried by the following vote: AYE: Posey Parrish, Mayor Hankins N0: None. Carried: Ordinance placed on first reading. Commissioner Posey moved that the ordinance pass first reading; seconded by Commissioner Hankins, and carried by the following vote; AYE: Posey Parrish, Mayor. Hankins NO: None. Carried; Ordinance passed first reading! Commissioner Hankins moved that the rules be suspended and that the Ord- inance be placed on second reading; seconded by Commissioner nosey, and carried by the following vote: AYE: Hankins rarrish, Liayor Posey. lvD: None.
