The City commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met at 1:30 P.M. in Regular Session at the Regular Meeting Place in the City Hall, the following members thereof being prearnt, to -wits Mayor J.J.Clements, Commissioners Geo. E. Benson, Jno. E. Roach, and J.C. Royalty, City Attorney E.L. Klett, City Mnn,ger W.H.Rodrers and City Secretary J.L. Holt. Absent: Commissioner J.F.Bacon. Minutes of Regular Meeting of August 25th were read end upon motion b•- Mr. Roach, seconded by Mr.Royalty, they were unanimously approved. the Minutes of Accounts allowed from Tarrant 7963 to �:arrgnt No. 7993, both inclusive, were read and upon motion by —r. Roach, seconded by Mr. Royalty, they were unanimously approved and ordered signed by the Mayor and City Secretary. II RESOLUTION REGARDING FIRE INSURANCT, RATES Motion by Mr. Benson, seconded by Mr. Roach, duly carried, the City Commission endorses the petition of complaint by Policy Holders' Rating Bureau to the Board of Insurance Coi.anissioners of Texas, dated July 6, 1932, requesting a revision in its rules, as sponsored by the League of texas Municipalities. J.J. Clements Mayor . J.L. Holt City Secretary. ( SEAL) Motion by Mr. Benson, seconded by Lr. Roach, c-rried unanimously, Mayor J.J.Clements, City Attorney E.L. Klett, and City Mana Ter ':+.H. Rodgers were appointed as a committee to work out a satisfactory arrangement with Lir. Ross Edwards end the Contractor on the Kress Building, pertaining to blocking the sidewalk. "Motion by Lir. Roach, seponded by Mr. Royalty, carried unani- mously, the Depository Bond with the Citizens National Bank was approved. Mr. Benson being present, but not voting. The State of Texas County of Lubbock VIHEREAS, the City Commission of the city of Lubbock, Texac,, accepted the bid of The Citizens National Bank of Lubbock, Texas, on July 28, 1932, as Depository of City Funds for the ensuing two years, agreeing to Pay One and one-half per centum annual intere::t, computed and credited monthly, on daily balance, to the several funds, agreeing to give bond as provided in Art. 2560 of the Civil Statutes of Texas: Therefore, the Citizens National Bank, of Lubbock, Texas, the above depository, with the other subscribers as sureties, are held and firmly bound unto the Uity of Lubbock, Texas, a municipal corporation, in the full and penal sum of 'Three hundred thousand Dollars, CONDITIONED that such depository will faithfully perform all the duties and obligations devolved by law or ordinance upon said depository, and for the payment upon presentation of all checks drawn upon said depository by the City Treasurer, or other proper officer, whenever any funds shall be in said depository applicable to the payment of said check, and that all funds of the city shall be faithfully kept b-- said depository, and with the interest thereon accounted for according to law; and for any breach hereof action may be maintained at Lubbock, Texas.
