Lubbock, Texas, June 11, 1931. '
The Cityy Commission of the `amity of Lubbock, Teras, met at 1:30
P.I1. iryRegular Sessio: at the Regular 17 eting place in the City
Hall, the following members thereof being present, to -wit:
Mayor J.J. Clements, Commissioners Geo. E. Benson, D.N. Leaverton,
and John E. Roach, ncting City aanager 7;.H. Rodgers and Acting
City Secretary J.L. Holt.
Absent: Commissioner J.F. Bacon.
The Minutes of Regular Lleeting of La:, 28, 1931, were read
and upon motion by I.'r. Leaverton, seconded by i�r. Denson, they
were unanimously ap)roved.
The Audit of Accounts by H.V. Robertson and Company of Amarillo,
Texas, for the fiscal year ended }.arch 31, 1931, was resented
and explained by Is. Lauder and upon motion b;' I'r. Leaverton,
seconced bs•i:r. Benson, it was unanimously approved. '
I -lotion by 'r. henson, sect. ded by 1.1r. Leaverton, carried
unanimously, the final bill for the audit was ordered paid.

unanimously Police Chief lemond was authorized to att r_d
the Police 6onvention at El Paso, Texas, June 15, 16 and 17, 1931,
at the expense of the City.
Motion by 1r. Leaverton, seconded by I.:r. Benson, Ordinance Fo. 486
passed Second and final reading.

Motion b; Mr. Leaverton, seconded by L.r. Benson, the follo.,ing
Resolution carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION
J.C. Royalty, 71.G. Mcl1illan and F.M. Maddox were heretofore ap-
pointed, in Ordinance No. 486, as members of the Eoard of
Equalization to serve for the year 1931, and the said F.11. L•addox
having refused to accept such appointment and to serve as such
member, the aforesaid office to which the said F.i.". Maddox has been
appointed being hereby declared vacant, Glenn_ Hess of Lubbock,
Texas, is hereby appointed to succeed the said F.I'. Maddox to
act as a member of the said Board of 3eualization with the said
J.C. Royalty and 17.G: L:cMillan.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force fro. and after
its passage.

Motion by Lir. Roach, seconded b•• I,r. Benson, carried unanimously,
the two-hour parking Ordinance!s'ast of the center line of Texas
Avenue was re-established. ,
�,itv Engineer ,.I.R. Smith, Jr. presented an 1.sti-ate on 6"
Water Line, Second Street Avenue F, to the -est line of City
Park, at an estimated cost of ^823.08, and upon motion by 1,:r.
Benson, seconded b; I,lr. Leaverton, carried unanimously, Acting
City Manager 7I.H. Rodgers was instructed to investigate and if
the line was needed to order it constructed.

mously, Acting City Manager W.H. Rodgers was instructed to
purchase car of 30' electric light poles at 85.70 each, f.o.b.
Lubbock, Texas.
