EXISTI_TG CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK* TEXAS, AND PROVIDING THAT NOTICE TIEREOF BE GIVEN. l'MR"SAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock deems it advisable at this time to submit to the qualified voters of the City of Lubbock amendments to the existing Charter of said City; and, V'MMAS,the Charter of said City has riot been altered or amended within two years next preceding this date: TEEREF GRE , BE IT RESOLVED BY M CITY C OLZII S � I ON OF M CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That it is the intenti n of the City Commission to pass an ordinance on the day of October, 1925, or so soon thereafter as such ordinance can be finally passed, for the pur- pose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City amend- ments to the existing Charter and calling an election for that purpose. SE C TI ON 2. That the I:Iayor is authorized and instructed to cause a substantial copy of this Resolution to be published in the official newspaper in the City of Lubbock, and same when so published is to be due notice of all said matters. SECTION 3. Such notice shall be published for ten days and the first of such publications shall be made as much as twenty days before the said 2 o al� day of October, A. D. 1925, SEC TI ON 4. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force imme- diately upon its passage. Passed, adopted and approved this V- "day of September, A. D. 1925. D. 1925, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock,Texas, convened in regular session at its regular meeting place in the City Hall, all members thereof, to -wit: or Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner City Attorney City Secretary, being present, -and, among other proceedings had, was the follow- ing: Resolution entitled, "RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PASS ORDINANCE SUBMITTING A MNDIMNTS TO THE EXISTING CHARJER OF TEE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, AND PROVIDIi G THAT _.0` ICE 'REOF EE� GIVEN" was introduced by Commissioner in writing and read to the Commission. It was thereupon moved by Commisstgner seconded by Commissioner that the said resolution be passed and adopted.
