In accordance with the proceedings of
the City of Lubbock had for the purpose: of construct-
ing sidewalks on 12th Street (Broadway) between Avenue
Q, and College Avenue, in the town of Lubbock, and in
view 3f the fact that J. B. Pryor & Son were awarded
the contract for constructing of Said sidewalks in said
unit at the price of 20 cents per square foot, in ac-
cordance with the plans and specifications prepared and
filed by City Engineer, and the resolutions and ordi-
nances of the City, the City of Lubbock hereby awards
said contract to said J. B. Pryor & Son, and hereby
authorizes said firm to construct said sidevialks in said
unit, in accordance with the plans and specifications
prepared and filed by the City Engineer, and the reso-
lutions and City ordinances of the City of Lubbock, at
and for the agreed price of 20 cents per square foot,
payable in cash by the owner of the lot, to said J. B.
Pryor & Son, on or before ten days after the completion
and acceptance by the City of the work, with interest
thereon from such completion and acceptance until paid
at the rate of 7% per annum, and the said J. B. Pryor
& Son agree forthwith to put in all sidewalks in said
unit that have not been put in by the owner by the time
the hearing is held, and complete the same within a
period of sixty days thereafter, a reasonable exten-
sion being allibwed for extraordinary conditions.
But it is distinctly understood that the
aforesaid contractor shall look to the owner and the
lien on the property, and not the City, for the pay-
ment of said contract price.

J. B. Pryor & Son, as contractors, and
, as surety, ac-
knowledge themselves bound to pay to the City of Lubbock,
Texas, and the owner, the sum of $2500.00, at Lubbock,
Texas, conditioned that the aforesaid contractors will
perform and carry out the aforesaid contract and comply
with the ordinances of the City of Lubbock in regard
thereto. Otherwise, this bond shall be null and void.
