RESOLUTION ADOPTgINNG AND APPROVING ENGIN E'ER' S ROLL6 OR
STAT-M,1ENTS FOR PORTIONS OF 22nd Street, 20th Street, 21st
Street, College Avenue and Jackson Avenue, and sundry streets
and alleys, .fixing the time and place of hearing, and directing
the City Secretary to give notice.
EMAS, the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the
hereinbelow mentioned portions of streets and alleys be improved
by raising, grading and filling and paving, and by installing
concrete curbs and gutters on Units 1 os. 90, 91, 929 93, 949 959, 96
and 979 and otherwise; and,
`:',REAS, arrangements for the making and construction of said
improvements has been made and entered into�ty the City of Lubbock,
as Contractor, and the City Engineer has made and prepared and filed
T.rith the C*-ty his rolls or statements shoeing the amounts to be
asses ser7_ against parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof,
and showing other matters and things, and said statements have been
examined and corrections made where necessary:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B`r THE CITY OF LU-BBOCK, TEXAS: THAT,
I.
Said Rolls or Statements be and the same are hereby adopted
and approved.
II.
That a hearing be given and held by and before the City Commission
of Lubbock to the owners of property abutting upon the said streets
and alleys to be improved, and to all others in any wise interested
or affected, concernin; said improvements, the amounts of the
proposed assessments against abutting property and the o�:mers thereof,
concerning the apportionment of the cost of said improvements and
the descriptions of property, names of o�rrners, regularity of proceed-
ings, and concerning all other matters and things in connection with
which anyone is entitled to be heard under the law and Charter :pith
amendments in force in said Oity, and the proceedings of the �; ity
17ith reference to said improvements.
The portions of streets and alleys so to be improved and in
connection -,Uith which such rolls or statements are adopted being as
set forth in the form of notice hereinbelow prescribed.
Said hearing shall be held in the regular Commission meeting
room in the City Hall in the Oity of Lubbock, Texas, on the 12th
day of December, 1935, at 1:30 o'clock P.11., and may be continued
from time to time until the purposes thereof are in the opinion
of the Co -mission fully accomplished, and such hearing shall in all
respects be conducted in accordance with said charter with amendments,
law and proceedings.
IV.
The City Secretary is directed to jive notice of the time,
place and purpose of such hearing by causing notice in substantially
the form hereinbelow prescribed to be published at least three times
prior to the date of said hearing in a ne-vspaper published in and of
:general circulation in the Uity of Lubbock, Texas, the first of which
publications shall be at least tan days before the date for such
hearing, and the form of which notice shall be substantially as follows:

The Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered
that the following portions of streets, avenues and alleys in said
City of Lubbock, Texas, be improved by raising grading and filling
and paving and by installing concrete curbs and gutters on Units hos.
90, 919 921, 939 94, 959 96, 97, and otherwise, to -wit:
T',rrenty-second Street, from its intersection with the East Property
Line of .avenue "X", to its intersection with the ':Nest Property Line
of Jefferson Avenue, known and designated as Unit or District No. 93-

Twentieth Street, from its intersection with the East Property Line
of Adams Avenue, to the East Property Line of Van wren Avenue,
known and designated as Unit or District No. 90.
TDwenty First Street, from its intersection with the ::est Property Line
of Jefferson Avenue, to its intersection with the mast Property Line
of Van Buren Avenue, known and designated as Unit or District No. 92.
T,,renty-first Street, from its intersection -.with the East Property Line
of Avenue X, to its intersection with the `;,'est Property Line of
Jefferson Avenue, kno,7n and designated as Unit or District No. 91.
College Avenue, from its intersection ,Pith the South Property Line
of 20th Street, to its intersection with the forth Property Line of
21st Street, known and designated as Unit or District No- 94.
College Avenue, from its intersection with the South Property line
of 21st Street, to its intersection with the North Property Line of
22nd 'street, known and designated as Unit or District Iyo. 95.
Jackson Avenue, from its intersection with the Center Line of 19th
Street, to its intersection with the Forth Property Line of 20th Street,
kno,mrn and designated as Unit or District lo. 96.
Jackson Avenue, from its intersection %ifith the South Property Line of
20th Street, to its intersection ,with the North Property Line of 21st
Street, kno7,m and designated as Unit or District iso. 97.

and arrangement for the making and construction of such improvements
with pavement of triple course asphalt surface treatment (inverted
penetration type) on a Six (6) Inch Compacted Caliche Base, has been
made and entered into by City of Lubbock, 'Texas, and rolls or
statements showing the proposed amounts to be assedsed against
® abutting property and the owners thereof have been filed with the
City, such rolls or statements showing other matters and things, and
have been approved, and the City Commission of said City has fixed a
time and place for hearing to the owners of property abuttinCD
g upon
said portions of streets and alleys, and avenues, and to others
affected, at 'rh.ich hearings the amounts to be assessed against the
respective parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof for
improvements in the units upon which the particular parcels of proper-
ty abut, the amounts of benefits to the respective parcels of property
by means of the improvements in the unit upon which the particular
property abuts, the regularity of the proceedinCD
gs with reference to
such improvements, the apportionment of the cost of such improvements,
and other matters and things will be determined, and after such hearing
assessments -:hill by ordinance be made and levied, and such hearing will
be had and held by and before the Uity Commission of the Lity of Lubbock;
Texas, in the regular Commission m2,eting room in the City Hall, in the
City of Lubbock, Texas, on the JIW day of f�e�,� 1935, at 1:30 o'clock
P.M. The rolls or statements showing the proposed amounts of such
assessments are on file in the office of the `ity Secretary, and
copies thereof are in the office of the City Engineer of the Uity of
Lubbock, and open to inspection of any interested parties at any time,
and of all said-anatters wid things all such owners of property, as
well as any and others in any wise affected or interested, will take
due notice.
