HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 061037A - Request To Reinstall Parking Meters - Dual Parking Meter Company - 06/10/1937001037A BE IT REMEMBERED That at a regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, held at the City Hall on the 10th day of June, 1937, a quorum being present, upon motion of Commissioner Price and second by Commissioner T.cPillan , the following Resolution was duly passed: BE IT RESOLV10 BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, That, Ross Edwards, Mayor of said City, be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to request of the Dual Parking Meter Company, a corporation of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the reinstallation of parking meters which were heretofore installed in a parking meter zone established by Ordinance Ilio. and which were removed from the streets of the City of Lubbock in compliance with an injunction issued by the 72nd. District Court of Lubbock County, Texas, but which Ordin- ance has been repealed and a new ordinance No. 5C4 duly passed by the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, creating and estab- lishing a parking meter zone in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, which parking meter zone covers the same streets and territory as was set forth in Ordinance No. 55e . And the said Ross Edwardst Mayor, is authorized and empowered to request the Dual Parking Meter Company to reinstall said parking meters in said parking meter zone in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, upon the same terms and conditions as set forth in a certain contract made and entered into on June 11th, 1936s by and between the Dual Parking Meter Company, a Corporation of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as party of the first part, and the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, as party of the second part, provided, however, the Dual Parking Meter Company will, at its own expense, change said meters in such a way as to cause them to register a period of time for parking of 120 minutes instead of 60 minutes. Passed and approved by unanimous vote of the City Commission of the City of Lubbock. ATT T: ayor C,Jty Secretary
