AVENUE V, AVENUE G, 8th STREET, 17th STREET, AVENUE K, AVEYUE N, y
MAIN STREET, 9th STREET, 7th STREET, AND SUNDRY STREETS AND ALLEYS,
FIXING THE `1'Ih,`E AND PLACE OF HEARING, AND DIRECTING THE CITY
SECRETARY TO GIVJ NOTICE.
7rHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the
hereinbelow mentioned portions of streets and alleys be improved
by raising, grading and filling and paving; and by installing
concrete curbs and gutters on Units Nos. 83, 840 859 869 87, 88, 899
989 999 1009 101, 1029 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111,
1120 113, 1149 1159 1169 117, 118,, 1199 58, 1209 1219 1.22, 1279 1269
1218, 12.99 1309 1319 132, 133, 1340 135, 1369 1379 I.389 1399 1409 141,
and otherwise; and,
rTfEREAS, arrangements for the making and construction of said
improvements has been made and entered into by the City of Lubbock,
as Contractor, and the City Engineer has made and prepared and filed
Frith the City his rolls or statements showing the amounts to be
assessed against parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof,
and showing other matters and things, and said statements have been
examined and corrections made adhere necessary:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: THAT,
I.
Said Rolls or Statements be and the same are hereby adopted
and approved.
II.
That a hearing be given and held by and before the City Commission
of Lubbock to the owners of property abutting upon the said streets
and alleys to be improved, and to all others in any wise interested
or affected, concerning said improvements, the amounts of the
proposed assessments against abutting property and the owners thereof,
concerning the apportionment of the cost of said improvements and
the descriptions of property, names of owners, regularity of proceed-
ings, and concerning all other matters and things in connection
with which anyone is entitled to be heard under the Law and
Charter -rith amendments in force in said City, a nd the proceedings
of the City with reference to said improvements.
The portions of streets and alleys so to be improved and in
connection with which such rolls or statements are adopted being
as set forth in the form of notice hereinbelow prescribed.
III.
Said hearing shall be held in the regular Commission meetir-7
room in the City Hall in the City of Lubbocli, Texas, on the
day of _, 193_C, at ! 3.�o'clock M -p and may
be conti ued from tune to time until the purposes thereof are in the
opinion of the Commission fully accomplished, and such hearing shall
in all respects be conducted in accordance with said charter with
amendments, law and proceedings.
IV.
The City Secretary is directed to give notice of the time, pla cel
and purpose of such hearing by causing notice in substantially the
form hereinbelow prescribed to be published at least three times prior
to the date of said hearing in a newspaper published in and of
general circulation in the City of Lubbock, Texas, the first of which
publications shall be at least ten days before the date for such
hearing, and the form of which notice shall be substantially as follows:

The Governing body of the Gity of Lubbock has heretofore ordered

with pavement of triple course asphalt surface treatment (inverted
penetration type) on a Six (6) Inch Compacted Caliche base, has
been made and entered into by City of Lubbockc, Texas, and rolls or
statements shoring the proposed amounts to be assessed against
abutting property and the owners thereof have been filed with the
City, such rolls or statements showing other matters and things,
and have been approved., and the City C o=i s sion of said City has
fi:: ed a time and place for hearing to the owners of property abutti rg
upon said portions of streets and alleys, and avenues, and to others
affected, at which hearing the amounts to be assessed against the
respective parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof for
improvements in the units upon which the particular parcels of prop
erty
roperty abut, the amo_nts bf benefits to the respective parcels of
property by means of the improvements in the unit upon which the
particular property abuts, the regularity of the proceedings with
_reference to such improvements, the apportionment of the cost of
such improvements, and other ratters and things will be determined,
and after such hearing assessments will by ordinance be made and
levied, and such hearing will be had and held by and before the City
Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, in the regular Commission
Meetinp, Room in the City Hall, in the City of Lubbock, Texas, on

The rolls or statements showing the proposed amounts of such
assessments are on file in the office of the City Secretary, and
co-oies thereof are in the office of the City Engineer of the City
of Lubbock, and open to inspection of any interested parties
at any time, and of all said matters and things all such owners of
property, as hell as any and others in anywise affected or interest-
ed, will take due notice.

necessary, but publication of such notice shall be due and sufficient
notice to any and all persons, firms, corporations and other parties.
