Be it remembered that at a regular meeting of the City Commis-
sion of the City of Lubbock, Texas, held in the City Hall in said city
on the 24th day of November, 1936, a quorum being present, it was duly
moved by Commissioner •J B trice , and seconded by Commis-
sioner °L Fortenberry , and unanimously carried, thet Ross Edwards,
!Mayor of said City of Lubbock, be and he is hereby authorized, empow-
ered, and directed to execute a release to J. H. Hankins of a certain
paving assessment levied by Ordinance No. 554, passed by the City Com-
mission on February 28, 1936 and of record in Vol. 198, page 340,
Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, insofar only as it covers and
affects Lots Nos. Eighteen (18), Nineteen (19), and Twenty (20) in
Block No. Two Hundred Fifteen (215) of the Original Town of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas.
And whereas said �a ving assessment assessed a lien against the
above described property to secure the payment of the sum Of `' • 1 1
for paving to be done on Avenue G in front of said property.
And whereas said paving has not been laid on Avenue G in front
of said property as contemplated by the City of Lubbock and said assess-
ment has created an apparent lien against the above described property,
Ross Edwaras, Mayor of the City of Lubbock, Texas, is hereby fully
authorized to execute, acknowledge, and deliver a release of the afore-
said paving assessment insofar as it affects the above described pro-
perty only.
