RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND f_PPROVING ENGINEERIS ROLLS OR STATEMENTS FOR PORTIONS OF AVENUE W AND SUNDRY OTHER STREETS AND ALLEYS AND AVENUES, FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE. `'-_iEREAS, the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the hereinbelov,r mentioned portions of streets and alleys and avenues be improved by raising, grading and filling and paving, and by installing concrete curbs and gutters on Units Nos. 203, 210, 211, 212, 213, 214, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, 232, 233, 234, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, 241 and otherwise; and, li.'HEREAS, arrangements for the making and construction of said improvements has been made and entered into by the City of Lubbock as Contractor, and the City Engineer has made and pre- pared and filed with the City his rolls or statements showing the amounts to be assessed against parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof, and showing other matters and things, and said statements have been examined and corrections made where necessary; THEREFORE, BE, IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS; THAT, I. Said rolls or statements be and the same are hereby adopted and approved. 1I. That a hearing be given and held by and before the City Commission of Lubbock to the owners of property abutting upon said streets and alleys to be improved, and to all others in any wise interest- ed or affected, concerning said improvements, the amounts of the proposed assessments against abutting property and the owners thereof, concerning the apportionment of the cost of said im- provements and the descriptions of property, names of owners, regularity of proceedings, and concerning all other matters and things in connection with which anyone is entitled to be heard under the Laws and Charter with amendments in force in said City, and the proceedings of the City with reference to said improve- ments. The portions of streets and alleys so to be improved and in connection with which such rolls or statements are adopted being set forth in the form of notice herein below prescribed, III. Said hearing shall be held in the regular Commission meeting room of the City Hall in the City of Lubbock Texas, on the 8th day of December , 1938, at 1:3d M, and may be continued Trom time to time until the purposes tzereof are in the opinion of the Commission fully accomplished and such hearing shall in all respects be conducted in accordance with said, charter with amendments, law and proceedings. IV. The City Secretary is directed to give notice of the time, place and purpose of such hearing by causing notice in substantially the form hereinbelow prescribed to be published at least three times prior to the date of said hearing in in and of general circulation in the the first of which publications shall before the date for such hearing, and shall be substantially as follows: NOTICE 11103$ G a newspaper published City of Lubboc :r;, Texas, be at least ten days the form of :hich notice TO THE WiNERS OF PROPERTY ABUTTING UPON THE HEREINBELOW MENTIONED PORTIONS OF STREETS, AVENUES AND ALLEYS, AND TO ALL OTHERS AFFECTED: The Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the following portions of streets, avenues and alleys in said City of Lubbock, Texas, be improved by raising grading and filling and paving and by installing concrete curbs and gutters on Units Nos. 2030 210, 211, 212, 213, 214, 2152 216, 2170 2182 219, 2202 221, 222, 223, 224, 2250 226, 227, 228, 229, 230, 2312 2322 233, 234, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, 241 and otherwise, to -wit: 4th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue J to its intersection with the '=';est Property Line of Avenue 0, from the South, known and designated as Unit or District No. 203. Line of 17th Street to its intersection U:-ith the worth Property Line of 18th Street, known and designated as unit or District No. 232, Avenue S from its intersection with the South Property Line of 18th Street to its intersection with the Borth Property Line of 19th Street, known and designated as unit or District No. 233. ® 20th Street from its intersection with the Viest Property Line of Avenue R to its intersection with the -6ast Property Line of Avenue S, known and designated as unit or District ivo. 234. 20th Street from its intersection with the West 'Property Line of Avenue S to its intersection with the mast Property Line of Avenue T. known and designated as unit or District iJo. 235. 20th Street from its intersection with the 'Vest Property Line of Avenue T to its intersection with the Last Property Line of Avenue U, known and designated as unit or District No. 236. 20th Street from its intersection with the yvest Property Line of Avenue U to its intersection with the Last Property Line of Avenue V, known and designated as unit or District ho. 237. 20th Street from its intersection with the ,'rest Property Line of Avenue V to its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue X, known and designated as unit or District ivo. 238. 13th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue C to its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue E, known and designated as unit or District wo. 239. 13th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue E to its intersection with the Last Property Line of Avenue F, known and designated as unit or District i,;o. 240. 13th Street from its intersection with the west rroperty Line of Avenue F to its intersection with the mast Property Line of Avenue G, known and designated as unit or District Ivo. 241. and arrangement for the making and construction of such improve- ments with pavement of quadruple course asphalt surface treat- ment (Inverted Penetration Type) on a Six (6) inch compacted caliche base has been made and entered into by the City of Lubbock, Texas, and rolls or statements showing the proposed amounts to be assessed against abutting property and the oz vers thereof have been filed with the City, such rolls or statements showing other matters and things, and have been approved, and the City Commission of said City has fixed a time and place for hearing to the owners of property abutting upon said portions of streets, avenues and alleys, and to all others affected, at which hearing the amounts to be assessed against the respective parcels of abutting property and the o�--ners thereof for improve- ments in the units upon which the particular parcels of property abut, the amounts of benefits to the respective parcels of property by means of the improvements in the unit upon which the particular property abuts, the regularity of the proceedings with reference to such improvements, the apportionment of the cost of such improvements, and other matters and t?-ings will be determined, and after such hearing assessments will by ordinance be made and levied, and such hearing will be had and held by and before the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, 'Texas, in the regular Commission meeting room in the City hall, in the City of Lubbock, Texas, on the day of , at o'clock. The rolls or statements showing the proposed amounts of such assessments are on file in the office of the City secretary and copies thereof are in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Lubbock and open to inspection of any interested parties at any time, and of all said matters and things all such owners of property, as well as any and others in any wise affected or interested, will take due notice.
