D. 1938 , the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, met in regular session in the City Commission Room at the City Hall of the City of Lubbock, a quorum being present, the following business was transacted: Upon motion of Commissioner _Fortenberry and second by Com- missioner Jones , the following Resolution was duly passed: WHEREAS, the United States Department of ,.griculture, through its Farm Security administration has made known its desire in the es- tablishment of a iiigratory Labor Camp to be operated by the Farm Security Administration in Lubbock County; and WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock is the owner in fee of a tract of land a short distance north of said City and adjacent to State High- way Into. 9, which is vacant and available, and suitable for the establish- ment of such Migratory Labor Camp. Therefore, Be it Resolved by the City Commission of the City of Lubbock that the United States Department of Agriculture, through its Farm Security Administration, be and it is hereby requested to establish a Migratory Labor Camp on the above described tract of land; and be it further resolved that the use of said land for such purpose is hereby tendered the United States Departm n of Agriculture without cost.
