Gentlemen: In accordance with the proceedings of your Honorable Rody, I hand you herewith estimate slow- ing cost of improvements on portions of streets and alleys, and avenues, designated in the proceedings as Units :los. 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409, such estimates are attached hereto and show all matters and things required to be shown by the Law and Charter with amendments in force in City and by the proceed- ings of your Honorable z3ody. Units, 402, 403, 404, 405, 4o6, 407, 08, 409• RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND APPROVING ENGINEER'S ROLLS OR STAT,,'.EHTS FOR PORTIONS OF STREETS AND ALLEYS AND AVENUES, FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE. `IHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the hereinbelow mentioned portions of streets and alleys and avenues be improved by raising, grading.and filling and paving, and by installing concrete curbs and gutters on Units Mos. 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409 and otherwise; and, ITHER-E.,S, arrangements for the making and construction of said improvements have been made and entered into by the City of Lubbock as Contractor, and the City Engineer has made and prepared and filed with the City his rolls or statements showing the amounts to be assessed against parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof, and showing other -matters and things, and said statement$ have been examined and corrections made where necessary; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED RY THE CITY OF LUBFOC , TEXAS; THAT, I. Said rolls or statements be and the sage are hereby adopted and approved. zz. That a hearing be held by and before the City Commission of Lubbock to the owners of property abutting upon said streets and alleys to be improved, and to all ot%iers in any wise interested or affected, concerning said improvements, the amounts of the pro- posed assessments against abutting property and the owners thereof, concerning the apportionment of the cost of said improvements and the descriptions of property, names of owners, regularity of pro- ceedings, and concerning all other matters and things in connection with which anyone is entitled to be '.Heard under the Law and Charter with amendments in force in said City, and the proceedinEs of the City with reference to said improvements. The portions of streets and alleys so to be improved and in connection with which such rolls or statements are adopted being set forth in the form of notice herein below prescribed, Said hearing shall be held in the regular Commission meeting room of the City :call in the City of Lubbock, Texas, on the 26th day of March 1542, at 1:30 P. ML, and may be continued from time to time until the purposes thereof are in the opinion of the Commission fully accomplished and such hearing shall in all respects be conducted in accordance with said charter with amend- ments, law and proceedings. IV. The City Secretary is directed to give notice of the time, place and purpose of such hearing by causing notice in substantially the form hereinbelow prescribed to be published at least three times prior to the date of said hearing in a newspaper published in and of general circulation in the City of Lubbock, Texas., the first of which publications shall be at least ten days before the date for such hearing, and the form of which notice shall be sub- stantially as follows: LACTIC E TO THE 0,71LRS OF PROPERTY APUTTING UPON THE HEREINBELMN! MEd- TIONED PORTIONS OF STREETS, AVENUES AND ALLLYS, AND TO ALL OTHERS AFFECTED: The Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the following portions of streets, avenues and alleys in said City of Lubbock, Texas, be improved by raising, grading and filling and paving and b installing concrete curbs and gutters on Units :los. 402, 403, �04, 405, 406, 407, 408, 409 and other- wise, to -wit: Washington Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 20th Street to its intersection with th.e 'North Property Line of 21st Street, known and designated as Unit or District No. 402. Washinston Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 21st Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 22nd Street, known and designated as Unit or District No. [,'03. 5th Street from its intersection with the ",'est Property Line of Avenue J to its intersection with the East Propert Line of :venue K, known and designated as Unit or District To. 40K. 25th Street fro -i its intersection with the ,est Property Line of Avenue G to its intersection ::ith the East Property Line of Avenue H, known and designated as Unit or District No. 405. Avenue V from its intersection with the South Property Line of 9th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 10th Street, known and designated as Unit or District iuo. 406. Van Buren revenue from its intersection with the South Gutter Line of l9th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 20th Street, known and designated as Unit or District No. 407. Vzn.Buren Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 20th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 21st Street, known and designated as Unit or District 'To. 408. Van Buren Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 21st Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 22nd Street, known and designated as Unit or District Ito. 409• how and arrangement for the making and construction of such improve- ments with pavement of quadruple course asphalt surface treatment (Inverted Penetration Type) on a Six (6) inch compacted caliche base has been .wade and entered into by the City of Lubbock, Texas, and rolls or state�sents showing the proposed am-ounts to be assess- ed against abutting property and the owners thereof have been filed with the City, such rolls or statements showing other matters and things, and have been approved, and the City Commission of said City has fixed a time and place for hearing to the owners of pro- perty abutting upon said portions of streets, avenues and alleys, and to all others affected, at which hearing the amounts to be assessed against the respective parcels of abutting prorarty and the owners thereof for improvements in the units upon which the particular parcels of property abut, the a:aounts of benefits to the respective parcels of property by means of the improvements in the unit upon which the particular property abuts, t%ie regular- ity of the proceedings with reference to such i:nprove�.ents, the apportionment of the cost of such improvements, and other utters and things will be determined, and after such hearing assessments will by ordinance be made and levied, and such hearing will be had and 'held by and before the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, in the regular Commission tweeting room in the City fall, in the City of Lubbock, Texas, on the day of 190;2, at otclock. The rolls or statements showing the proposed amounts of such assessments are on file in the office of the City Secretary and copies thereof are in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Lubbock and open to inspection of any interested parties at any time, and of all said matters and things all such owners of property, as well as any and others in any wise affected or interested, will take due notice. Ido notice other than that hereinabove provided for shall be necessary, but publication of such notice shall be due and sufficient notice to any and all persons, firms, corporations and other parties.
