Slntnn, Mnvor, he authorized and empowered to execute on behalf of the Uity s of Lubbock, Texas, such license, cory of which is hereto attached, and the seme be recorded in the Minutes of the City Commission at the foot of this resolution. Iriotion bly Commissioner Gnrland Newsom, seconded by Commissioner J.O. Jones, the above and foregoing resolution was unanimously passed. This being Power line crossing Ave. A, b6tween 14th St. & 15th Street. Motion by Oommissioner J.U. Jones, seconded by Commissioner Garland Newsom, carried unanimously, to refund cash deposit of $250.00 to Miles Neal. This derosit having been put up as guarantee of compliance with City ordinances on building moved from Seagraves, Texas, to 2202 East Avenue D, said building now having been Passed by the Building Inspector as comrlying with all building ordinances. M6tinn by Commissioner Garland TTewsom, seconded by Commissioner Huh Jones, carried unanimously, bond of Lubhock Snsh a Door Comrany, for moving a building, was arrroved and ordered filed. lotion by Commissioner J.O. Jones, seconded by Commissioner Garland Newsom, carried unanimously, to accept final City Plan Rerort of Koch and Fowler, Consulting Engineers, Dallas, Texas, and pay balance due in t w amount of V'1,000.00. This in accordance with Contract, dated Arril. 18, 1.939. letition dated March 24, 1943, was filed by colored citizens of Lubbock requesting certain imrrovements in the colored section of Lubbock, including request for additional fire hydrants, street lights, additional bias service, four Negro Policemen, and a waiting room for colored reorle at the City Health Officer's office. The matter of a waiting room for colored reorle at Dr. Holl o's office was discussed. After discussion of the matter it was decided conditions could be greatly imrroved by providing means of registration of patients when they arrive at the office, and Dr. Rollo was instructed to check this matter and report to the City L;ommisslon as to the availability of a person for this work and as to the salary required. The other requests were discu,sed and taken under consideration. No further business cortins up for consideration, the City Cnmmission adiourned.
