MEREAS, the City Commission has given due consideration to the application of
Lubbock Bus Company for a change in rates as provided by Section 6 of Ordinance
No. 654 of the City of Lubbock, and has considered the benefits to the public,
the net earnings of the Franchise holder, and is of the opinion that the changes
in fares or charges for passage on busses of said company as hereinafter set out
would be in the public interest, and,

in rates or charges after such consideration, and by resolution of the City
Commission, Tiffin FORE,
BE IT RESOLUD BY THE CITY 00-1,1�IISSION Or THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
THAT, on and after the effective date of this resolution the following rates and
charges shall apply to all transportation on busses operated by said Franchise
holder:
Ten(10) cents cash fare, EXCEPT as hereinafter stated.
Seven (7) cent cash fare on all busses when tokens are not
available to passengers.
Tokens shall be sold five for 35 cents and shall be accepted
on each bus in lieu of the 10 cents cash fare.
Five (5) cent cash fare for children attending :,chools of
twelve grades or lower for transportation to and
from schools.
Five (5) cent cash fare at all times for children six to
twelve years of age inclusive.
leo charge for children five years of age and under when
accompanied by a paying passenger.
Transfers to be issued free of charge.
The foregoing fLres and provisions shall oe continuously posted in each bus
in a conspicuous place.
The foregoing change in rates or charges is made subject to the right reserved
by the City Commission and Governing body of the City of LuDbock to hereafter at
any time it may deem it expedient or necessary in the public interest to recon-
sider and modify and reduce said rates by resolution and after notice to the
Franchise holder, should the City Commission find such reduction to be in the
public interest.
This resolution supersedes the provisions of a resolution passed by the City
Commission_ on the same subject and dated the 19th day of December, 1946.
The foregoing rates shall become effective on September 28, 1947.
Passed and approved by unanimous vote of the City Commission this 19th
day of September, 1947.
