Motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Childress,
carried unanimously, the following Resolution was passed:
RESOLUTION
t'JHEREAS, a complete analysis has now been made of the bids received on
September 11, 1947, for feed water heaters required as part of the
"equipment for the 7,500 K.W. Electric Plant expansion, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the bid submitted by the
Westinghouse Electric Company w as the most advantageous for the City
of Lubbock,
NCW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COINRViISSION OF THE CITY OF
LUBBOCK, TEXAS; THAT
SECTION 1:
That the bid of $15,210.00 submitted by Westinghouse Electric
Company for feed water heaters be accepted.
SECTION 2:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized, to sign the
necessary contract with the iVestino- house Electric Company for the
equipment upon khich they bid.
SECTION 3:
That sufficient funds are hereby appropriated out of the funds
approved by the voters on December 2, 1947 , to pay for the equipment
covered by this purchase.
