WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions, and entered into contract with the property owners for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of numerous streets and avenues in said City, including among others the following: 8th Street, from the .vest Property Line of Avenue 0, to the East Property Line of Avenue Q, known and designated as Unit No. 504. 14th Street, from the ';lest Property Line of Avenue F, to the East Property Line of Avenue G, lcno,,m and designated as Unit No. 505. AND ;1IIEREAS, the improvements upon the said portion of the above mentioned streets and/or avenues and alleys have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with the terns of said contract; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the above mentioned streets and or avenues and alleys be and the same are hereby accepted. L 5. II. That the N'ayor and City Secretary be and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said -oortions of the streets and/or avenues and alleys as listed above, and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provi�ed in said contract, and the proceed— ings with reference to said improvements as assessments.
