HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 062349C - Street Improvements - Holland Page - GWO 512 - 06/23/1949r RESOLUTION: RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING ESTIMATE OF THE COST OF IMPROVEMENTS AND OF AMOUNTS TO BE ASSESSED FOR IMPROVEMENTS IN THE NATURE OF GRADING, LAMiG CURB AND GUTTER AND PAVING PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS ;AND AVENUES IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, SAID IMPROV3,1ENTS BEING DESIGNATED AS GWO 512, FIXING THE jTIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING TO THE OWNERS OF ABUTTING PROPERTY, AND OTHER PERSONS INTERESTED IN SAID PROPERTY AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH NOTICE ON BEHALF OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: WHEREAS,, the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered'. that portions of the streets and avenues be improved by grading, installing concrete curb and gutter and paving with caliche base and quadruple asphalt surface together with incidentals and appurtenances, and contract therefor xtas made and entered into with Holland Page, of the City of Austin, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock, has caused the City Engineer to prepare and file estimates of the cost of such improvements and est-. jimates of the amounts per front foot proposed to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof, and such estimates have been prepared and ex- amined; I THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY'GoloaSSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. Such estimates be and they are hereby adopted and approved.
