RESOLUTION
x _ RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT OF L. A. PURTELL AND DIRECTING MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAME.
WHEPX,AS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas, has heretofore ordered that portions of streets and avenues under an
extension to GWO 474 be improved by raising, grading and fiLl.ing, and in.
stalling concrete curb and gutter and paving, and after preparation of plans
and specifications, and after proper notice had been given for the acceptance
of bids, and after receiving said bids as prescribed tylaw: the City commission
accepted the bid of L. A. Purtell., oame being the best and lowbst bid,. and
awarded contract to said L. A. Purtell;rind,
WHEREAS, the contract of said L. A. Purtell for the making and construct.
ing of said improvements dated this the 27th day of January, 1949, having
already been executed by said L. A. Purtell and having been examined and
found correct and in accordance with his bid and with the plans and specificar•
tions of the City of Lubbock for the construction etc, of said streets;
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission, that;
Said Contract be and is hereby approved, and the Mayor of the City is
authorized and directed to execute same in the name of the City,4 and the
City Secretary to attest same and impress thereon the corporate seal.
This resolution shall take effect and be 1n farce from and after its
passage.
