Highway S4 (College Avenue) runs through the town of Lubbock and constitutes one of its main.streets, and. said Highway is paved twenty-four (241) feet wide, and, SAS, the traffic has inereased.to.such an extent that the narrow pavement creates a hazard.and inconvenience to the traveling public, and# WMWAS, because of these hazardous conditions, the City of Lubbock does not feel that it can.further postpone the improvement of this.section..of highway.. end, WHUMAS, it is the desire of the .City Commission of the City of Lubbock to have the pavement lowered and widened to sixty four (64t) feet between curbs from 4th Street North to the Clovis Road (Avenue Q.Northwest), a distance of approxi- mately 4500 feet, and es.1t is understood that the State Highway Commission will provide the widened pavement'if the City will build -the curb and gutter and storm sewer; NOW THEftEPM, BE IT TWOLMM BY THE CITY., COMNLCSSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK IN SMION THIS ....; 9 SAY.
