HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 122850C - Release Of Claims - Waples-Platter Company - 12/28/1950o% 92A RESiOLUTION W H E R E A S, on November 21, 1950, at 8:15 p. m., a police car (No. 16-4), while waiting for the traffic light to change from red to green, was struck in the rear by a Chevrolet sedan driven by Caden Terrell and owned by Waples -Platter Company, inflicting damages to the said police car, and, WHEREAS, upon ;submission of three (3) estimates to the Mitchell, Gartner & Thompson Insurance Agents of Fort Worth, Texas, and upon their adopting the amount of the lowest estimate, which was the estimate ',submitted by the City Garage, and the insurer has submitted a release to be executed by the City of Lubbock and T. L. Avory, driver of. the said city vehicle, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the City of Lubbock the release in the amount of $29.65, discharging Waples -Platter Company and any other person or persons, heirs, administrators, executors, successors and assigns from all actions, claims and demands as a result of the said accident. On motion of Commissioner Hufstedler seconded by Commissioner Nlnrri G the foregoing Resolution was unanimously passed by an affirmative vote of all Commissioners present this 28th day of December, 1950.
