R E S O L U T I O N
(Adopted by unanimous vote at a regular meeting of the Lubbock Civil )
(Service Commission, held October 3, 1951, upon motion by Commissioner)
(Watkins, seconded by Commissioner Justice. )
WBERE;AS, the present organization of the Detective Division of the
Lubbock Police Department contemplates and provides for only one employee
in the grade and classification of Lieutenant, and
WHEREAS, it is the considered opinion of this body that more ade-
quate supervision is desirable in this Division and that at least one
employee holding supervisory rank should be on duty in the Division during
each of the three eight-hour shifts now being worked;
NOW., THMEF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND R.ECONENDED by the Lubbock Civil
Service Commission that two additional positions in the grade of Lieuten-
ant be authorized in the Detective Division, and that salaries for same be
provided for in the 1951-52 budget; and
That an official copy of this resolution be transmitted, through
the City Managers to the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, with
the recommendation that same be duly a
