HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 091851D - Accepting Amendment To Grant Agreement - Federal Aid For Municipal Airport - 09/18/1951` p�,18514 091961 D RESOLUTION The following resolution was introduced by Commissioner Morris , read in full and considered: Resolution Adopting and Approving the Execution of Amendment No. 2 to Grant Agreement Concerning Federal Aid in the Development of the Lubbock Municipal Air- port, Lubbock, Texas, Project No. 9-41-071-003 Be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas. SECTION 1. That the City of Lubbock, Texas shall enter into and accept Amendment No. 2 to Grant Agreement for the purpose of obtaining Federal aid in the development of Lubbock Municipal Air- port and that such amendment shall be as set forth hereinbelow. SECTION 2. That the Honorable Clarence K. Whiteside, Mayor of the City of Lubbock, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to execute and accept Amendment No. 2 to Grant Agreement on behalf of the City of Lubbock, Texas and Lavenia Lowe, City Secretary for the City of Lubbock, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to impress the ofMcial_ seal of the City of Lubbock., Texas and to attest said execution. SECTION 3. That the Amendment No. 2 to Grant Agreement re- ferred to hereinabove shall be as follows: i� PASSED AND APPROVED by vote of the City Commission this 18th day of September, A.D., 1951. Mayor ATTEST: _ IQ (EBepartment of Commerceivil Aeronautics Administration ox 1592ig Spring, Texas -' AMENDZU;NT NO. 2 TO GRANT AGREEMENT C4ca-6114 Project No. 9-41-071-003 Lubbock Municipal Airport WEREAS, The Administrator of Civil Aeronautics (hereinafter called the "Administrator"), has determined that, in the interest of the United States, the Grant Agreement relating to the above numbered Project, between the Administrator, acting for and on behalf of the United States, and the City of Lubbock, Texas, (hereinafter called the "Sponsor"), accepted by the Sponsor on June 10, 1950 and amended on September 28, 1950, should be further amended as hereinafter provided: NOVI, THEREFORE, WITNESSETH: That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto, the Administrator, acting for and on behalf of the United States, on the one part, and the City of Lubbock, Texas, on the other part, do hereby mutually agree that the said Grant Agreement be and hereby is further amended by deleting from the Grant Agreement the first paragraph on page 3, reading as follows: THE ADMINISTRATOR, FOR AND.ON BEHALF CF THE UNITED STATES., HEREBY OFFERS AND AGREES to pay, as the United States' share of costs in- curred in accomplishing the project, 50 percentum of all other allowable project costs in excess of $79,000.48, but in no event to exceed $29,142.00, subject to the following terms and conditions: and substituting the following in its stead: THE ADMINISTRATOR, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE UNITED STATES, HEREBY OFFERS AND AGREES to pay, as the United States' share of costs in- curred in accomplishing the project, 50 percentum of all other allowable project costs in excess of 09,000.48, but in no event to exceed $30,647.00, subject to the following terms and conditions: also, by increasing the maximum obligation of the United States payable under said Grant Agreement, as set forth in Item 1 on Page 3 of said Grant Agreement, from °,129,142.00 to X30,647.00. IN VITNFSS 14HEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this amendment to said Grant Agreement to be duly executed as of the 18th day of September 21951.
