RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Texas State.Highway Department has prepared plans and has pro-
grammed the construction of an underpass and improvements on 19th street in
the City of Lubbock from Texas Avenue West to the Idalou Highway as a part of
the Lubbock Dispersal System, and
WHEREAS, there is approximately 35,000 cubic yards of excavation to be wasted
from the excavation required for this underpass and other construction on this
improvement.,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COME•SISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,
TEXAS:
That, the following described tract of land owned by the City of Lubbock be
reserved for the placement of excess excavation from the project, it being
understood that the dirt will be spread and left in an acceptable condition:
Beginning at a point which is 1710 feet east of and 120 feet
north of the Southwest corner of Survey 3, Block 0, Lubbock
County, Texas: which point is approximately 75 feet North of
station 125 plus 00 on the center line of proposed highway;
THENCE North 83 degrees 7 minutes east a distance of 934.3
feet to a point in the half section line of Survey 3, Block 0;
THENCE, north along the half section line a distance of 200 feet
to a point; THENCE, North 85 degrees 51 minutes west a distance
of 600 feet to a point; THENCE, North a distance of 120 feet to.
a point; THENCE, North 52 degrees 28 minutes west a distance of
450 feet to a point; THENCE south 2 degrees 7 minutes east a
distance of 750.1 feet to the point of beginning and containing
9.032 Acres.
