Street be improved by grading, installing concrete curb and,gutter and paving with caliche base and quadruple asphalt surface together with incidentals and appurtenance, and arrangements there- fore have been made and entered into by the City of Lubbock, Texas, with J. R. Street in said City of Lubbock, Texas be approved by raising, E,-rading, filling, and paving same, and by installing concrete curbs and mutters and storm sewers and drains where necessary on the portions of 34th. Street mentioned below: It is hereby found and determined that the cost of improvements of such portions of 34th. Street with the amount or amounts per front foot proposed to be assessed for such improvements against the abutting property and the owmers thereof on the said portions of 34th. Street are as follows, to—wit: 34th. And arrantetlent for the making; and construction of such improvements with naverient of cauadruple course asphalt surface treatment (inverted pene— tration type) and a six (6) inch compacted caliche base has been made and entered in by the City of Lubbock, Texas, and rolls or statements showing the proposed amounts to be assessed a`;ainst the abutting property and the owners thereof have been filed with the City, such rolls or statements show— ing other matters and thing, and have been approved ancl. tl_e City Commission of said City has fixed a time and place for a hearing to the owners of property abutting upon said portions of 34th. Street, and to all others affected, at which hearing the amounts to be assessed against the respective parcels of abutting land and the owners thereof for improvements in unit upon which the particular parcels of property abut, the amounts of benefits to the respective parcels of property by means of improvements in the unit upon which the particular ?I)roperty abuts, the regularity of the proceedings with reference to such ir:!provements, the apportionment of the cost of such improvements, and other matters and things will be determined, and after such hearings assessments ta=ll by ordinance be made and levied, and such hearing will be held by and before the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, in regular Commission netting room in the City Hall in the City of Lubbock, Texc s on the 3rd, day ofLy, 1951, at 2 Teri o'clock. The rolls or statements showing the proposed amounts of such assesspaents are on file in the office of the City Secretar, and copies thereof are in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Lubbock and open to inspection of any interested parties at any time, and of all said mc.tters and thin; all such owners of property, as well as any and others in any wise affected or interested will take due - notice. By order of the City Commission of -the City of Lubbock, this 12th. day of April, 1951• T?o notice other than hereinabove but publication of such notice shall 'sae and all persons, firms, corporations an dprovided for shall be necessary, due and sufficient notice to any other parties.. M1,951 That a hearing shall be held by and before the Governing Lody of the City of Lubbock, Texas, to all persons o�*ning or claiming; any property abutting any part or portion of 314th Street described in Section II of this resolution, as well as all owning or claiming any interest in any such property. Such hearing shall be given and held the 3rd. Day of lz y, 1951 at 2:00 PM o'clock on the first floor in the City hall of the City of Lubbock, Texas, and. the City Secretary is hereby directed to give notice of the time and place of such hearing, and of other Natters and facts in accordance with the terns and provisions of an act passed at the first called session of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas and knovm as Chapter 106 of the acts of said Legislature which has been adopted as an -e= to and Nade a par. t of the Charter of the City of Lubbock, Texas. S'xch notice shall be made by advertisement inserted at lest three (3) times in w newspaper published in the City of Lubbock, Texas., the first y)ublication shall be made .t least ten (10) days before the said hearing.
