.• r WHEREAS, on August 24, 1950, the City Commission issued a license
to Ted Kirk of 2205 Avenue G, Lubbock, Texas, to operate one (1) truck on the
streets and alleys for the purpose of collecting salvage, as set out in said Resolu-
tion recorded in Minute Book 9, pages 399-440, which Resolution and proposal
therein referred to is made a part hereof for all purposes, and,
WHEREAS, Ted Kirk has been called into the armed services, and
Jack D. Williamson and R. E. Jackson dba West Texas Paper and Chemical Com-
pany of Lubbock, Texas, desire to succeed the said Ted Kirk under the terms and
conditions of the proposal above referred to for the consideration agreed upon,
and that a license be issued to them dated April 14, 1951, to supersede the license
issued to Ted Kirk the 12th day of October, 1950, for the use of one (1) truck upon
the streets and alleys for the purposes hereinafter mentioned, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

SECTION 1. That Jacky/Williamson aid R. E. Jackson dba West Texas
Paper and Chemical Company of Lubbock, Texas, in consideration of the premises
and Iayment of license fee hereinafter provided for, BE and they are hereby
licensed to use one p) truck upon the streets and alleys of the business district to
pick up and salvage paper, wooden crates and boxes, and other paper behind gar-
bage trucks, for a period of one (.1) year beginning_ April 14, 1941; such service
to be rendered by Licensee in accordance with the proposal and Resolution above
referred to, upon the following conditions:
1. The Licensee to pay to the City of Lubbock the sum of $25. 00 per
month in advance beginning .April 14, 1951, and $25.00 per month in advance on or
before the 15th day of each succeeding month for the duration of this license.
2. Furnish satisfactory evidence that public liability and property dam-
age insurance -,is in force with respect to the truckusedby Licensee.
3, The Governing Body, reserves the right, upon written notice to
Licensee, to cancel this license upon thirty (30) days' notice, with or:withoutcause,
In the event this license is not cancelled or revoked prior to April 15,
952, the privilege granted hereby shall be extended for an additional one (1) year
ieriod, subject to cancellation at anytime, with or without cause.
This license and privilege is not transferable in whole or in part.
A certified copy of this Resolution and License shall constitute authority
the said Jack D. Williamson and R. E. Jackson dba West Texas Paper and
hemical Company to operate said truck for the purposes specified.
Passed and approved by unanimous vote of the City Commission, this
12th day of Aprils 1951.
