WHEREAS, heretoforethegoverning body of the City of Lubbock had
authorized the Mayor to execute a quitclaim deed to The Lubbock Milani Home,
Incorporated, a Corporation, of the land described in the body of this Resolution;
and,
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of Ma.ren, 1952 the then Mayor, Claren6a K.
-� Whiteside, acting for and in behalf of the City of Lubbock, executed said quit*iaim
deed and delivered same to grantee therein; and,
WHEREAS, the grantee therein, The Lubbock. Milam Home, Incorporated, a
Corporation, has never placed said quitclaim deed of record in the Lubbock County
Deed Records and has lost said quitclaim deed; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY COM24ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT for the purpose of supplying a record and in lieu of said quitclaim
deed as executed aforesaid the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a quitclaim
deed of the hereinafter described property to The Lubbock Milam Home, Incorporated,
a Corporation. Said land is described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest Corner of Lot Nine (9), Block
One (1), Nelson Heights Addition to the City of Lubboe'k,
Lubbock.County, Texas; THENCE West Fifty feet (501) to
a point in the East right-of-way line of the F. W. & D.
R. R. Right -of -Way; THENCE North 182.8 feet to a point;
THENCE East 50 feet to a point; THENCE South 34.8 feet
to a point; THENCE East a distance of 522 feet to a point
situated in the West right-of-way line of Avenue J; THENCE
South 16 feet to a point; THENCE West 522 feet to a point;
THENCE South 132 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
On motion of Commissioner Norris y, seconded by
Davis
Commissioner , the foregoing Resolution was
approved and passed on this Y3th day of November , 1952, by the
following vote:
Commissioners voting "YEA": i~karri:s; Carpenter, Davis, Thomas and,
Commissioners voting "NAY" Mayor Tripp None
