W H E R E A S, the Panhandle & Santa Fe Railway Company through its
laton Division, File 2527024, has agreed to permit the installation and constructic
f a forty-five (45") inch parallel water line, a distance of 17,100 feet on the
ailway's right-of-way between Roundup, Hockley, County, and Lubbock, Lubbock County,
lso two (2) twenty-four (24") inch water line crossings as outlined in red
oloring on.the Railway's.Exhibit A, Sketch DyOS, No. 5015, dated March 26, 1954,
or a total consideration of One Hundred and No/100 ($100.00) Dollars, with the
dditional requirement that the City execute Railway Company's.Form 1658, Standard
ipe Line license without change except as shown by letter dated May 17, 1954"
ttached hereto, for the consideration of which the City of Lubbock is to assume
11 liability related to use of the Railway's right-of-way; and,
W H E R E A S, it is contemplated that actual construction of the
pipe lines is needed forthwith, and prior to the time of actually executing
aforesaid license agreement, it being imperative that such construction be not
delayed; THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CONIISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor BE, and he is hereby, authorized to execute the attached
letter agreement dated at Lubbock, Texas, May 17, 1954, addressed to Mr. J. H. Blake

City Secretary is 'authorized and directed to attest the same and immediately
