WHEREAS on the 23rd day of June, 1941, the City of Lubbock,
together with other taxing units in Cause 1+843 in the 99th District Court of
Lubbock County, Texas, recovered judgment against Lona Owens and husband, M. 0.
Owens, for taxes lawfully levied and assessed against certain real estate; and,
W H E R E A S, the Tax Collector now states that all taxes which were
included in this judgment and recovered against Lots 200 212 22 and 23 in Block
5 of Flynn Place, an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, have
, been paid; and,
W H E R E A S, the District Court Clerk states that all costs of suit
have been paid and the owners of the property wish a release of the judgment and
lien created thereby; N O W, T H E R E F O R E,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C0144ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be., and he is hereby, authorized and directe
to execute a release on all that hereinafter described property in Flynn Place, an
Addition to the City of Lubbocks Lubbock County, Texas, releasing arp cloud of
title or lien created by.virtue of the judgment recovered by the City of Lubbock
in Suit 4843 in the 99th District Court of Lubbock County, Texas, insofaras it
affects Lots 20, 21, 22 and 23.. Block 5 of Flynn Puce, an addition to the City
of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
SECTION 2, That such release is to contain the provision that the
release does not.in any way affect any property or liens not specifically describ
therein as being released and that all liens and apparent liens against property
owners not otherwise released are expressly excepted from such release.
On motion of Commissioner Carpenter , seconded by Commissi
Davis , this Resolution was passed by the City Commission on this
