RESOLUTION_.
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES
AS LISTED BEL(Y AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED.
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement
ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with West Texas Con—
struction, Incorporated (G.W..O. 1023) for the making and construction of stree
improvements on portions of numerous streets and/or avenues in said City in—
cluding among others the following:
32nd Street from its intersection with the Fast Property Line of Toledo Avenue
to its intersection with the East Property Line of Salem Avenue,,known and
designated as Unit Number 1548.
Salem Avenue from its intersection with the South Property line of 32nd Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 33rd Street, known and
designated as Unit Number 1549.
37th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Utica Avenue
to its intersection with the West Property Line of Vicksburg Avenue, known
and designated as Unit Number 1579.
35th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Utica Avenue
to its intersection with the West Property Line of Vicksburg Avenue, known and
designated as Unit Number 1591.
Hartford Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 39th
Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 40th Street,, known
and designated as Unit Number 1614.
Peoria Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 31st Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 32nd Street., -known and
designated as Unit Number 1618,
40th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Memphis Avenue
to its intersection with the East Property Line of Nashville Avenue, known and
designated as Unit Number 1637.
Knoxville Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 33rd
Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 34th Street, known
and designated as Unit Number 1643.

of 39th Street (East Leg), known and designated as part of Unit Number 1700.
Peoria Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 42nd
Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 43rd Street,, known
and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 60,
Peoria Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 46th
Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of the alley South of
46th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 7.
Peoria Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 44th S
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 45th Street, known and
designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 10.
Peoria Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 45th
Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 46th Street, known
and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 10-A.
Peoria Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 43rd Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 44th Street, known and
designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 12.
West one-half Quaker Avenue from its intersection with the North Property Line
of 45th Street to its intersection with the Forth Property Line of the alley
North of 45th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 44.,
West one-half Quaker Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line
of 46th Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of the alley
South of 46th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 45.
Salem Avenue from its intersection with the North Property Line of 45th Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of the alley North of 45th
Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 63.
Salem Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 46th Street
to its intersection with the South Property Line of the alley South of 46th
Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 64.
AND WHREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above-
mentioned streets and avenues, have been inspected and found to have been
constructed in accordance with terms of said contract G10 1023.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and
avenues be, and the same are hereby accepted,, and the City Engineer be and is
hereby authorized to direct payment of the Cityts portion of cost.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against
the parcels of property abutting upon the said portion of streets and avenues

listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law
and in the mannerprovided in said contract, and the proceedings with ref-
erence to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied,
and the City Bigineer is hereby directed to write a letter releasing money held
in escrow to be paid the contractor for improvements where abutting property
was not assessed.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
