HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 060955E - Paving Improvements - Kerr & Middleton - GWO 1010 - 06/09/1955o�ss� RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OUTERMOST CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVIIAENTS ON THE FRONTAGE OR ACCESS ROADS ALONG AVENUE Q NORTH DRIVE, GWO 10100 AND ORD THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS., the City.of Lubbock heretofore passed various street Improve- ment Ordinances and Resolutions, and entered into contract with Kerr and Middleton for the making and construction of the outermost curb and gutter Improvements on certain portions of the frontage or access roads along Avenue Q North Drive specifically described as follows: Frontage Road or Access Road along the West Side of Avenue Q North Drive from its intersection with the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway Company right-of-way approximately ninety (90) feet north of the North Property Line of 1st Street in a northerly direction to its intersection with an imaginary line approxi- mately three hundred eighty five (385) feet north of the North Property Line of Baylor Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1666. Frontage Road or Access Road along the East Side of Avenue Q North Drive from its intersection with the three-way junction of the East Property Line of North Avenue P with the South Property Line of North Avenue 0 and with the South Property Line of Baylor Street in a northeasterly direction to its intersection with the South Gutter Line of North Avenue N, known and designated as Unit Number 1667. Frontage Road or Access Road on the West side of Avenue Q North Drive from its intersection with the North Alley Line of the alley between Erskine Street and Fordham Street in a northeasterly direction to its intersection with the South Gutter Line of Kemper. Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1668. Frontage Road or Access Road on the East Side of Avenue Q North Drive from its intersection with the North Curb Line of Erskine Street in a Northeasterly direction to its intersection with the South Gutter Line of Jarvis Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1669. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the outermost curb and gutter improvements on said portions of the above frontage or access roads be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to direct payment of the Cityts portion of cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against parcels of property abutting upon the said portions 'of the street as listed above, and against the owners of such,property in accordance with the law and in the manner provided in said contract., and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments. CITY OF LUBBOCK TEXAS June 9, 1955 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: The Engineer has examined the outermost curb and gutter improvements constructed by Kerr and Middleton along the frontage roads of Avenue Q North Drive and found these improvements as listed on the attached final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications of the contract designated GWO 1010, and recommend that you accept the improvements on said roadways, paying the Contractor the amount shown on the attached estimate sheet as due him from the City of Lubbock and directing the'issusnce of paving certifi- cates in evidence of the assessments levied the abutting property.
