WHEREAS, organization of CIVIC LUBBOCK, INC. has been completed "for
the furtherance of the public interest and welfare of Lubbock, Texas
and its vicinity fostering and promoting the presentation of cultural
and educational programs, attractions, and entertainments", consistent
with procedures approved by the Commission; and,
WHEREAS., a contract has been made for the showing of "Teahouse
of the August Moon" in the Auditorium on March 30 and March 31; THE'REF'ORE,
BE IT RESOL IEBY THF CITY C0101ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT, the Auditorium BE and the same is hereby leased to CIVIC
LUBBOCK, INC. for two days being March 30 and March 31 for the purpose
of showing three performances of "Teahouse of the August Moon".
THAT the contract for the show and receipts in connection therewith
are hereby transferred to CIVIC LUBBOCK, INC. all of which shall be
,^ managed and handled as the project of CIVIC LUBBOCK, INC. in accordance
with the Ordinance and By—Laws relating thereto.
The consideration for this lease is payment to the City of Lubbock
a rental of Six Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($650.00) by CIVIC LUBBOCK..
INC.
IIThe Mayor is authorized to execute this instrument which shall
constitute the agreement by the parties.
PASSED by the Commission this 30th day of March, 1956.

bock by Civic Lubbock, Inc., for shows at Auditorium March
30 and 31, and which constitutes a lease to Civic Lubbock, Inc.
for handling this show in its entirety,
