RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND
DELIVER TO J. R. FANNING A WARRANTY DEED ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO ALL THE PORTIONS:OF LOTS 19, 20
AND Z1, ` BLOCK 3, RIO VISTA ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,
LYING °EAST OF AVENUE Q NORTH DRIVE: RIGHT-OF-WAY, MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY
OF THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, all the portions of Lots 19, 20 and 21, Block 3, Rio Vista
Addition to the City of Lubbock, more particularly described hereinafter,
are not being used and will not in the future be used or needed -for any
public purpose; and,
WHEREAS, said lands are excess lands and have fever been used or
dedicated to public use in any manner or impressed with any public ease-
ment; and,
WHEREAS, J. R. Fanning has offered to purchase the same for the
sum of $1593.75; and,
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it would be to the public
interest to sell and convey skid land to said J. R. Fanning for the con-
sideration above stated; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION L That the Mayor BE, and he is hereby authorized and direc-
ted to execute on behalf of the City of Lubbock, a warranty deed conveying
to J.R. Fanning of Lubbock County, Texas, the following described property:
All the portions of Lots 19, 20 and 21, Block 39, Rio Vista Addition to
the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, lying.East of Avenue Q
North Drive right-of-way described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the most Easterly corner of Lot 19, Block 3, Rio
Vista Addition;
THENCE Southwesterly with the lot line of said Lot 19, a dis-
tance of 85.0 feet to a point in the right-of-way line of said
Avenue O' North Drive;'
THENCE Northerly with the said right-of-way line a distance
of 135.89 feet to a point in the lot line dividing Lots 21 and 22
Block 3, Rio Vista Addition;
THENCE Northeasterly with said lot line a distance of 21.25
feet to the most Northerly corner of said Lot 21;
THENCE Southeasterly along the lot lines of Lots 24 20 and
19 to the POINT OF BEGINNING
Containing 6375 ;square feet,
SECTION Z,. That the City Secretary -Treasurer shall attest such
conveyances affixing the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto.
SECTION 3, That after such deed has been duly executed and properly
attested, the same shall be delivered to said J. R. Fanning upon his pay-
ment to the City the sum of $1.593.75#'
