HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 111457Q - Street Improvements - West Texas Construction Inc - GWO 2068 - 11/14/1957RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTIEG IMPROV3MTS ON PORTIONS OF ALLEYS, STREETS, ARD/OR AVErUES.AS LISTED BELOil AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMITS LEVIED. 7,MREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with West Texas Construction, Inc.,(G.W.O. 2068) for the making and construction of street and/or alley improvements on portions of numerous alleys, streets and/oz avenues in said City including among others the following: 20th Street from its intersection with the East Pr6per-ty Line of Avenue 19 to its intersection with the West Property bine of Avenue L., -known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 3 of Unit Number 1879. Fir Avenue from its.intersection with the South Property Line of East 23rd Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of East 26th Street, known and designated as Sub Unit Number 5 of Unit Number 1880. Avenue,G from its intersection with the South Gutter Line of 27th Street to i intersection with the North Gutter Line of 28th Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Dumber 12 of Unit Number 1880. 43rd Street from its intersection with the East Gutter Line of Avenue U to its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue T, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 19 of Unit Number 1880. 3rd Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue Q (North Leg) to its intersection with the West Property Line of Paris Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 35 of Unit Number 18801 3rd Street from its intersection with the East Property line of Paris Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue P, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 36 of Unit Number 1880. 38th Street from its intersection with the East Gutter Line of Avenue Q t6 its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue P, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 32 b Unit Number 1882. Nashville Avenue from its intersec4on with the South Gutter Line of 25th Street to its intersection with the forth Gutter Line of 26th Street, known and designated as tub -Unit Number 32 of Unit 1880. 40th Street from its intersection with the East Paving Line of Avenue H to its intersection with the 'West Property Line of Avenue D, mown and designated as Sub -Unit Number 13 of Unit Number 1880. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above- mentioned alleys, streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract (G.W.O. 2068)0' r THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUB:30CK, TEMS: 1. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned alleys, streets, and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost. 11. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the alleys,'.stteets and/or avenues listed above and against the ourners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract.. and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied. 11].� This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
