a RESOLUTION 72 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock heretofore on May 911, 1957, passed Ordinance #2193; such tsrdinance being recorded in Volume 658; page 65 of ,the Deed Records of Lubbock Countyp, Texas,, and which. ordinanc providing for assessment against various properties in the City of Lubbock for street improvements purposes and the record of such ordinance constitutes a lien on certain property included therein,, and; WHEREAS;?, a.portion of the property more particularly hereinafter described was assessed and a lien affixed against Mr. Doyle H. Langford when in truth and in fact;: part of such property was owned by Mr. George Best,, anc4 WHEREAS;, the owners of such property have requested that insofar as the property belonging to Mr. Best has been in fact assessed as being the proper ty of Mr. Langford that it be released, NOW THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a release of any and all liens, apparant liens or clouds of title shown .of record to exist upon that certain property hereinafter described created by virtue of Ordinance No. 2193;,, recorde in Volume 658, page 65 of the Deed Records of Lubbock County;, Texas. Such release to be in favor of George Best and Doyle H. Langford, their heirs and assigns to the following described propertys. to -wit: The West 6.25 feet of Lot No. l:, Block No. 1., Sunny Mill Addition to the City of Lubbockw Lubbock Countyp, Texas. SECTION 2. THAT such release shall contain the provision that it shall not affect any property or liens not expressly released thereby.
