Fanning - Airport Runway Extension - 01/29/1957RE SOLUTI ON AREAS, the United States of America (acting through the Administrator of Civil Aeronautics) has made a tenative allocation of Foderal funds for the extension of the instrument runway at the Lubbock Municipal Airport; and, WHEREAS, the Administrator of Civil Aeronautics has approve& plana and specifications to accomplish this work; and, WHEREAS, the Administrator of Civil Aeronautics has authorized advertising for bids based on the approved plans and specifications; and., WHEREAS, 10:00 A.M. January 29, 1957 has heretofore been set by this Commission sas the date for opening said bids; and, WHEREAS, the bids have been opened, tabulated and studied; anks WBEREAS, the Airport Board of the City of Lubbock recommends to the City Commission of the City of Lubbock that the bit submitted by J. R. Faring lowest and best bid; in the amount of $268,145.30 dollars is the ,—� NOST THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Lubbock that the bid submittet by J. R. Fanning in the amount of $268,145.30 dollars is the lowest and best bid Px- that the City of Lubbock recommends_to the Administrator of Civil Aeronautics, the accept— ance of the biLte ,bid and alternate of J. R. Fanj ng -in, the - am of $268,145.30 dollars. Upon motion. of Commissioner Byrd seconded. by Commissioner Case the foregoing resolution was duly passed this 29th day of January, 19 7 by the following vote: Commissioners voting AYE: Mayor Forrest, Commissioxerc Byrd, Casey, Maxey Commissioners voting No,., None e _ S.
