RFS(IT.TTTTOM RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVcYMTTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELaT AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF ASSESSMENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Kerr and Middleton, Inc. (G.W.O. 2155) for the making and construction of street and/or alley improvements on portions of numerous alleys, streets and/ avenues in said City including among others the following: 46th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Indiana Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of Joliet Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit umber 5 of Unit Number 1900. Peoria Avenue from its intersection with the alley South 32nd Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of 32nd Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 9 of Unit Number 1900. Louisville Avenue from its intersection with the South Gutter Line of 42nd Street to its intersection with the North Gutter Line of 43rd Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 11 of Unit Number 1901. Miami Avenue from its intersection with the South Gutter Line of 19th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 20th Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 17 of Unit Number 1901. 22nd Place from its intersection with the East Property Line of Quaker Avenue to its intersection with the West Gutter Line of Oxford Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 18 of Unit Number 1901. Nashville Avenue from its intersection with the South Gutter Line of 19th Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of 21st Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 19 of Unit Number 1901. East part of Indiana Ave nue from its intersection with the alley South of 48th Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 50th Street, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 2 of Unit Number 1905. East I of the East West Alley between 24th Street and 25th Street and from Avenue "T" to Avenue "U", known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 2 of Unit Number A316. East ;°fest alley between lst Street and Amherst Street and from College Avenue to Akron Avenue, known and designated as Sub -Unit Number 4 of Unit Number A-316. North-South alley between 14th Street and 15th Street and from Avenue 11Q'1 to Avenue "R", kna.fh and designated as Sub -Unit Number 5 of Unit Number A-316. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the above- mentioned streets and/or avenues, have been inspected and found to have been const rueted,in accordance with terms of said; contract (G.W.O. 2155). 4 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and/or avenues be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct payment of the City's portion of the cost. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portions of the streets and/or avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 14TH DAY CF August 1958.
