RESOLUTION_
• �, ` WHEREAS, heretofore the City of Lubbock passed Ordinance No. 2519, suc
! Ordinance being recorded in Volume '701, Page 551 of the Deed Records of Lub-
bock County, Texas, and such Ordinance assessed a lien upon property abutting
certain streets described therein; and
WHEREAS, one of the sub -units in Such Ordinance was made applicable to
the street known as 2nd Place from the West gutter line of Avenue H to eight (8)
feet West of the West property line of Avenue 0, and specifically stated that Lot
2, Block 2, Liff Sanders Addition to the City of Lubbock was within the terms of
I said sub -unit; and
WHEREAS, such improvements have created no lien against Lot 2, Block 2,
Liff Sanders Addition by 'reason of the fact that the costs on said property were
assessed in the name of Mrs. 'Maude Vest, when in truth and fact the property
was owned by T. T. Brooks, and for the further reason that said Lot 2, Block 2,
Liff Sanders Addition does not infact abut on said 2nd Place and thus is not
correctly within the terms of such ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it is expedient to remove the cbud and apparent lien placed upon
the title to said Lot. 2, Block 2, Liff Sanders Addition; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1.. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
and requested to execute a joint release with West Texas Construction, Inc., of
the following described property as erroneously included in ,Sub -Unit No. 32 of
Paving Unit No. 1918 of Ordinance No. 2519, as passed on the 24th day of July,
1958, which property is more particularly described as follows; to -wit:
Lot 2, Block 2, Liff Sanders Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is authorized
and directed to attest the Release for the City of Lubbock.
SECTION 3. THAT such Release shall only affect said Lot 2, Block 2, Liff
Sanders Addition, and all liens or apparent liens against any property or property
owners created by said. Ordinance No. 2519. are hereby expressly retained.
