BELL, A QUIT CLAIM DEED ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO A PORTION OF BAYLOR AVENUE IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCKs AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS RESOLUTION. WHEREASI it has been determined by the City Commission of the City of Lubbock that a certain portion of Baylor Avenue as more particularly described in the body of this Resolution is not being used and will not in the future be used or needed for public purposes or street purposes or any other public purpose; and, WHEREAS# it has been determined that it would be to the public interest for the City of Lubbock to quit claim its interest in said portion of Baylor Avenue to A. J. Bell; NOW THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver on behalf of said City a quit claim deed to A. J. Bell, conveying its interest in and to the following described portion of Baylor Avenue located in the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,, to -wit: Being a strip of land 12 feet in width abutting the South line of Lot 8" Block 1,, Garrison Subdivision of Block 79 of the Roberts & McWhorter Addition to the City of Lubbockp, Lubbock County, Texas,, and being more described by metes and bounds as follows,, to -wit: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of said Lot 8, Block la Garrison Subdivision of Block 79 of Roberts & McWhorter Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West 50 feet to a point; THENCE South 12 feet to a point; THENCE East 50 feet to a point; THENCE North 12 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. The City Secretary -Treasurer shall attest such quit claim deed affixing the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto. Passed by the Commission this 27th day of October , 1960. DAVID C.
