HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 082560J - Pavement Improvements - Hodges And Tierney - Industrial Park Addition - 08/25/1960RESOLUTION RESOLUTIO14 ACCEPTn'G IAI'RCJVE MM 014 PORTIMS OF STREETS AS LISTED BEWI: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Industrial Park Addition, made arrange- ments with Hodges and Tierney Construction Company for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Industrial Park Addition including the following streets: 32nd Street from its intersection with a line 13.5 feet East of the East Property Line of Avenue "G't to its intersection with a line 800 feet East of the East Property Line of Avenue "G'I, known and designated as Lew Subdivision Number 823. 34th Street from its intersection with the centerline of Avenue "G" (North Leg) to its intersection with the East Lot Line of Lot 24, Industrial Park Addition, known and designated as New Subdivision Number 82.4. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordant with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331• THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost. LI. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 25TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1960 . Casey, May 4 CITY OF LUBBOCK TEXAS August 25, 1960 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Hodges and Tierney Construction Company, paving contractors, under their contract with the subdividers of Industrial Park Addition and find the improvements on 32nd Street and 34th Street as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
