HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 032460G - Amendment To Civil Service Rules - Section 47 Of Rule IX - 03/24/1960JPB: f c RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Lubbock Civil Service Commission has finally adopted a revised Civil Service Rule in accordance *ith the procedure requested and as has submitted such rule to the City Commission for its consideration: NOW TkEREFOREz BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK- SECTION L THAT Section 47 of Rule IX, promotions% of the City of Lubbock Civil Service Rules,, as amended by the Civil Service Commission to read as follows: ttpromotional eligibility lists shall show names listed in order from the highest total points scored to the lowest total points scoredx'providedi however,; that the name of no applicant shall be placed on said eligibility list who has scored less than 70 final points;, as provided by Sec. 14, Art. 1269m;;, R: C; Si of Texas. 11 BE and the same is hereby approved. passed by the City Commission this 24th day of March,, 1960. f :,p Quad ATTEST City Attorney Lave a Lowe,; Ci y Secretary -Treasurer Mayor TO : CITY OF LUBBOCK Civil Service Commission Lubbock City Commission FROM: Lubbock Civil Service Commission SUBJECT: Request for Ratification of Local Rules Amendment The Lubbock Civil Service Commission has given final approval in its last meeting on March 18, 1960 to the following action: Be it resolved that Section 47 of Rule IX, Promotions, of the City of Lubbock Civil Service Commission Rules, be changed, by amending it to read as follows: �-Promotional eligibility lists shall show names listed in order from the highest total points scored to -the lowest total points scored, provided, however, that the name of no applicant shall be placed.on said eligibility list who has scored less than 70 final points, as prpvided by pec.. 14, Art. 4269m, R.C.S. of Texas." Local rules require that final approval to any change in Civil Service rules be given by the governing body of the City.
