HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 071361B - Pavement Improvements - Kerr Paving Co - West Gate Drive Installment #7 - 07/13/1961*,. a7i36/ Q RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of West Gate Drive Installment #7, made arrange- ments with herr Paving Company for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of West Gate Drive Installment #7 including the following streets: 13th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Lot 14, West Gate Drive Installment No. 7 to its intersection with a line 40 feet East of the West Property Line of quaker Avenue, known and designated as New Subdi- vision Unit Number.1009. Raleigh Avenue from its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley North of 13th Street to its intersection with a line 14 feet North of the North Property Line of 13th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number,.1010. Quaker Avenue (concrete west side only) from its intersection with a line 3 f North of the North Property Line of -the alley South of 13th Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley North of 13th Street, known and designated as Part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1011. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Erg ineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in 'accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. TBEREFORE, BE IT.RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost. Hickerson, City Engineer APPROVED Or�e:d!04.Senter, Jr., Vi CITY OF LUBBOCK,� TEXAS July 13, 1961 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock,.Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Paving Company, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of West Gate Drive Installment #7 and find the improve- ments on 13th Street, Raleigh Avenue and Quaker Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
