HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 102661I - Pavement Improvements - Hodges And Tierney - Windsor Heights Addition - 10/26/1961RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING UIPROVr111311TS Olw PORTIONS OF STREETS AUD/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conform.^ae with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Windsor Heights Addition, made arrangements with Hodges and Tierney for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of. Windsor Heights Addition including the following streets East one half of Avenue W from the center line of 52nd Street to its inter- section with a line 2.5 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley South of 52nd Street(Concrete 'o,61y) known and designated as New Sub -division Unit Number 1016. 52nd Street from its intersection with a line 16 feet,West of the Ilest Property Line of Avenue U to its intersection with a line 11 feet west of the East Property Line of Avenue W known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1017. AND WHEREAS# the construction of the above improvements on the above- mentioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portions of the cost and to release escrow money. passage. Senter Jr., Ci M ga ■ TEXAS October 26, 1961 Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Hodges and Tierney, paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Windsor Heights Addition and find the improvements on 52nd Street and Avenue W as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that .you accept the improve- ments on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock. ry truly yours, John T.
