HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 110862J - Paving Improvements- Kerr Paving, Inc. - Subdivider Of White Oak Addition - 11/08/1962RESOLUTION I logtZ 7 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ItdPROVMMTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTcD BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of White Oak Addition made arrangements with Kerr Paving* Inc. for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of White Oak Addition including the following streets: 56th Street (south side concrete only) from its intersection with the west property line of Lot 7 White Oak Addition to its intersection with the west property line of Kenosha Avenue, known and designated as a part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1189. 57th Street from its intersection with the west property line of Kenosha Avenue to its intersection with a line 76.00 feet north of the south property line of Lot 19 White Oak Addition on Louisville Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1190. Louisville Avenue from its intersection with a line 11.00 feet south of the north property line of 58th Street to its intersection with a line 76.00 feet north of the south property line of Lot 19 White Oak Addition, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1191. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the abovementioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer and said improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with city specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets be and the same are hereby accepted, providing the contractor provides maintenance for a period of one year and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the city*,s portion of the cost and to release escrow money. II. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 8TH DAY OF NOMMER, 1962. Senter, Jr., Ci ,,attorney Y* strong, mayor CITY OF LUBBOCK TEXAS November 8, 1962 Honorable Iiayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: I have examined the paving improvements constructed by Kerr Paving Inc., paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of White Oak Addition and find the improvements on 56th Street, 57th Street and Louisville Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
