RESOLUTION
BB'IT RESOLVED k Y THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the mayor of the City of Lubbock, is hereby authorized and directed
to execute for and on behalf of the City a Joint �Pavtng Release with R. L. Garrett,
Contractor, covering certain portions of 8nb-units 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 110 12, 13, 14,
15, 16, 17, 188 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 27. 30, 31, 32. 33, 34, 35, 36, $7, 39,
41, and 44 of "Unit Number A-344 found in Ordinance dumber 3472 recorded in
Volume 843, page 141 of the geed 'Record. of Lubbock County, Texas and the
"Notice of Intent" recorded in Volume 341. page 171 of the Deed Records of
Lubbock County, Texas, and covering a certain portion of Sub -unit, 28 and all
of sub -unite, 1, 4, 9, 10, 23,' 26, and 29 of Unit Number A-344, deleted from
Ordinance Number 3472 (O. W.0. 2668), but included in the said "Notice of
intcrt'.
A copy of said Release is attached hereto and made a part of this
R,e�clution.

LICENSE
STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK
This agreement made this 20th day of December 1962
between the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipality located in Lubbock County,
Texas, and JOHN F. BEAVERS cif Lubbock County, Texas, witnesseth that the
City of Lubbock does hereby licence John F. Bear. e.ls to operate and carry on
the business of an Alley Maintenance Service, under the following terms and
conditions:
1. That the business be known as "Lubbock Alley and Maintenance
Service".
2. That the business be operated for the purpose of cleaning and
maintaining alleys in the City of Lubbock; said work to consist
of blading alleys, the cleaning of weeds and trash from alleys
and other acts of cleaning alleys.
3. That the services described in paragraph two (2) be performed
for the property owners or dwellers abutting the alley by voluntary
consent of said owners and dwellers at a cost to be paid by said
owners and dwellers and at no cost to the City of Lubbock.
4. That the said John F. Beavers provide adequate liability insurance,
saving the City of Lubbock from any and all liability from any and

all acts or ommissions committed by John F. Beavers, or from
the condition of any street or alley caused or created by the said
John F. Beavers. The minimum insurance to be provided is
$10, 000 for Property Damage and $50, 000 for Bodily Injury for
each person. A copy of such insurance policy shall be delivered
to the City as a condition precedent for this licence to take effect.
5. That the adequate performance of the work this license is issued
for shall be determined by the City of Lubbock, and the City
hereby reserves the right to revoke this license with no reser-
vations and for no cause.
6. That this license shall be for a period of one (1) year from the
date herein headed, subject to revocation as provided in paragraph
No. 5.
7. That the relation of the licensee, John F. Beavers, to the City
of Lubbock shall be an Independant Contractor and not an agent
or representative.
