HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 111463F - Pavement Improvements - Pioneer Pavers Inc - Southgate Addition - 11/14/1963RES OLTJT ION I I I qGIF RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DIPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW: WHEREAS, in conformance with the paving requirement provisions of City Ordinance 1331, the subdivider of Southgate Addition, made arrangements with Pioneer Pavers, Inc. for the construction of paving improvements on certain streets dedicated in said subdivision under the provisions of said Ordinance prior to the recording of the subdivision plat of Southgate Addition including the following streets: The West 1/2 of Memphis Avenue from its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley North of 54th Street (West Leg) to its intersection with a line 23.4 feet North of the North Property Line of.the alley North of 54th Street (West Leg) known and designated as Part of New Sub- division Unit Number 1118. The East 1/2 of Memphis Avenue from its intersection with the center line of the alley South of 56th Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 56th Street, known and designated as Part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1213. 55th Street and Memphis Avenue Intersection, known and designated as Part of Subdivision Unit Number 1264. Memphis Avenue from its intersection with a line 15 feet South of the South Property Line of 55th Street (East Leg) to its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 56th Street (West Leg) known and designated as Part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1266. Memphis Avenue from its intersection with a line 1.28 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley North of 55th Street (East Leg) to its intersection with a line 11 feet West of the West Property Line of Memphis Avenue at 55th Street, known and designated as Part of New Subdivision Unit Number 1267. 54th Street from its intersection with a line 216 feet East of the East Property Line of Orlando Avenue to its intersection with a line 16 feet West of the West Property Line of Memphis Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1332. 55th Street from its intersection with a line 16 feet East of the East Proper- ty Line of Nashville Avenue to its intersection with a line 16 feet West of the West Property Line of Memphis Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1333. 56th Street from its intersection with a line 16 feet East of the East Propert Line of Nashville Avenue to its intersection with a line 16 feet West of the West Property Line of Memphis Avenue, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1334. Nashville Avenue from its intersection with a line 16 feet South of the South Property Line of 54th Street to its intersection with a line 3 feet South of the South Property Line of the alley South of 56th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 1335. G Memphis Avenue from its intersection with the center line of the alley North of 54th Street (East Leg) to its intersection with a line 1.28 feet North of the North Property Line of the alley North of 55th Street, known and designated as New Subdivision. Unit Number 1336. AND WHEREAS, the construction of the above improvements on the abovementioned streets was performed under the supervision of the City Engineer, and said.improvements have been completed and have been inspected and found to have been constructed in accordance with City specifications and in accordance with the provisions of City Ordinance 1331. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned street; be and the same are hereby accepted and the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to direct the payment of the City's portion of the cost and to release escrow money. Senter, Jr., Cit torney Honorable Mayor and City Commission Lubbock, Texas Gentlemen: City of Lubbock POrter 3-3491 916 Texas Avenue Lubbock, Texas November 14, 1963 Z have examined the paving improvements constructed by Pioneer Pavers, Inc., paving contractor, under their contract with the subdividers of Southgate_ Addition and find the improvements on Memphis Avenue, 54th Street, 55th Street, 56th Street and Nashville Avenue as listed on the final estimate sheet to have been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the improvements on said streets and/or avenues, authorizing payment to the contractor the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate sheet as due them by the City of Lubbock.
