'ABANDONED ALLEY IN BLOCK 101, ORIGINAL TOWN OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS RESOLUTIt WHEREAS,, the City Commission finds that the following described portio of the abandoned alley in Block 101, Original Town of Lubbock, heretofore closed and abandoned by Ordinance No. 4$S' is no longer needed for public use as a public alley.;"; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION:1. THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Quit Claim Deed to Florelle Bentley, Frances Maxwell and Lesey Russell covering the following de- scribed property, to -wit: A portion of the abandoned alley in Block 101,, Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 200 said Block 101, Original Town; THENCE West 10.0 feet to a point; THENCE South 140.0 feet t^ a point; THENCE West 50.0 feet to a point; THENCE South 10.0 feet to a point, said point being the Northwest corner of Lot 9,, said Block 101, Original Town; THENCE East 70.0 feet to a point, said point being the Northwest corner of Lot 11, said Block 101, Original Town; THENCE North 150.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary shall attest the signature of the Mayor to said deeds and shall affix the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto. STRONG; Mayo ATTEST; X - ,�, .� iilY ABornq Lavenia Lowe, C' y :Secretary Treasurer THE STATE OF TEXAS I (COUNTY OF LUBBOCK ; QUIT CLAIM DEED KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS THAT the City of Lubbock a Home Rule Municipality of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND NO/100 ($1.00) DOLLARS, to it in hand paid by Florelle Bentley, Frances Maxwell and Lesey Russell of the County of Taylor and State of Texas, the receipt of which to hereby acknowledged, do, by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, RELEASE,AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said Florelle Bentley, Frances Maxwell and Lesey Russell their heirs and assigns, all its right title aid interest in and to that certain tract' or parcel of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: A portion of the abandoned alley in Block 101, Original Town of Lubbock,; Lubbock County, Texas, more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 20, said Block 101, Original Town; THENCE' West 10.0 feet to a point; THENCE South 140.0 feet to a point; THENCE West 60.0 feet to a point; THENCE South 10.0 feet to a point, said point being the Northwest corner of Lot 9, said Block 101, Original Town; THENCE East 70.0 feet to a point, said point being the Northwest corner of Lot i 1, said Block 101, Original Town; THENCE North 150.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said Florene Bentley, "Frances Maxwell and Lesey Russell, their heirs and assigns, forever, so that neither it the said City of Lubbock nor its successors and assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under it shall, at any time hereafter, have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
